Art Installation: Fountain of Heartbeats

This bench was designed as part of the art installation "Fountain of Heartbeats" by Sanne Vaassen. The bench is inspired by the Japanese veranda called "engawa" which is an important part of the Japanese house. In architecture as well as in this installation it fulfils a social function as a gathering place that invites communication.
