Timber Structures

We build bespoke timber structures. The scale can range from a small pergola or gazebo to a garden house, tea house to large timber-framed buildings.

As with our furniture, the material and the way it is worked are an important part of the design. Where possible, we work directly from the log, using methods such as hewing, splitting and hand-planing to reveal and work with the characteristics of the timber. The structures are made using traditional wooden joinery, with the aim of creating buildings that are both structurally sound and closely connected to the material from which they are made.
